Scene 1 (The 700th Floor)

from Neo Noir by June Marx

lyrics

Verse 1

I woke up on the seventh hundred floor of a high rise
next to a oriental chick with exotic eyes
it was 2am one of the colder nights
made my way to the window check out the glowing lights
blimps in the skyline neon lit
skyscrapers with LEDs beyond sick
peep a airship hover the clouds
floating over a bustling city
thinking who can fuck with me?
see ive put down replicants
hit the scene with synthethic elements
and ive become a legend ever since
and while feeling myself lighting cigars
got a call on the neurolink moment to pause
screen came on call from the mercenary Scarz
he was a weapon supplier from prior wars
he said things done got chaotic
a client paid for a optic
some asshole ran away with the profit
gave me 2 suspects plus addresses
then he paid a deposit said it was hazardous
he ended the call his hologram fading
I walk over to the bed where she was laying
and I whispered in hes ear baby I gotta jet
and squeezed her asscheeks once more before I left
took the elevator down to the basement
into the parking garage my ride waiting
now pacing hold the duffle tight made my way to
my hoverbike thinking
its gonna be a rugged night
I ride out into the city in the pouring rain
pull up the gps scanner for a foreign name
locating for a possible target chase
results came up one was hiding by the marketplace
I parked the bike in the back alley and spotted him
eating noodles by the window I was watching him
I snuck inside the building the 4 tucked
it was a cybernetic brothel with cyborg sluts
made my way up to the 4th floor in a rush
1st name on my hitlist about to get touched
knocked on the door saying this is room service
Scarz said he was a fiend sounds prolly made the dude nervous
no reply I kicked the door open
he was smoking synthetics with the whores let the 4 smoke em
took the bag of cash good thing I was prepared
cause the second target appeared
out of nowhere I guess he came on his own
to the red light district thinking he'd be alone
now im thinking thats two birds with one stone
snuck right behind the target and burned him with the chrome
then I called Scarz said yeah its finished
Marx you're dealing with the best in the business
