Absolute Nerdcore. After completing the cyberpunk themed title "The Ascent", I wrote about it and strived to capture the desperation of surviving in that type of seedy/grimy environment. It's a story of a gun for hire who rises through the ranks, both depicted in his status and his ascent
up the arcology. I thought about the personality traits one would develop when constantly being subjected to
the challenges within the storyline. I suppose the beauty, or brilliance, of cyberpunk is that it's more of a reflection of
modern society rather than high fantasy like what one would find in typical science fiction. Major elements found in "The Ascent"
can be seen/experienced in our world today, despite it's "futuristic" setting.
